TEMPO - A research infrastructure and a community of practice dedicated to phenology

.

Welcome

TEMPO is a national network of observatories dedicated to phenology for the entire living kingdom (plant and animal species, either farmed or wild).

Phenology is the study of the seasonal rhythms of living organisms, which are determined by the seasonal variations of climate.

The major scientific question that TEMPO seeks to address is how climate change influences the seasonal rhythms of living organisms as well as the consequences in terms of systems’ productivity but also of populations’ survival, dynamics and distribution.

TEMPO brings together:

  • 10 observatories
  • + de 95 partners: research units, associations, technical institutes, public institutions, etc.
  • 275 participants
